I have issue with the lower portion of the sail coming out of the sail track even with the rig loose. I need to be able to reef the sail while on the water which will make the issue worse. I have heard of replacing some of the sail track with 49er aluminum track. 49er track appears to be hard to find. I have also heard of adding glue and possibly something else to the sides of the current track. I like the last idea, but don't know what to use.
Any advise?
Thank you!
I glued the aluminum track on with 5200 after ruffing up the back a little. I tightened up the track with pliers. So far so good!
This winter I just replaced the bottom 3 feet (100cm) with the aluminum 49er track purchased on line from Tej Trevor Parekh at Pitch Pole Skiff Products Inc.18 Place DecaryDorval, QC

It cost me CD$80 including shipping. Service from Trevor was excellent.
I can't wait for spring to arrive to see how it performs.
Any 29er 49er dealer should have it. Pitch has both the plastic and aluminum tracks.
i hope this helps.
