Sailing on a reach with Gennaker up, I've got good slight weather helm on Stbd tack and definite not to good Lee helm on Port Tack . I will double check the side stay lengths as matched. I will lift the boat up and confirm the centerboard and rudder are perfectly aligned centerline. However , anyone had any problems with the out rigger hulls not being aligned causing the boat to be unbalance.? I've added the cushioned stops that go on the end of the outrigger posts that insert into the hull recently. Not sure if I am getting uneven distance on those somehow. I put shims in the bottoms to make them tight and not wobble. I remember before I used to have Lee helm on both tacks.

Bob curry. Thanks. New rudder blade and some slight alignment to centerboard did the trick.
John,
Your rudder is not symmetrical. It is flatter on one side and not the other. You will have to sand the starboard side of the rudder (facing forward) to get it to even out. This is a known issue with some of the older boats.
I've never used shims on the akas. I tighten the forestay until the floats rise up snug and there's no wobble issues.
